How we collect, use, and protect your information.

Last updated: March 1, 2026

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials through our third-party authentication provider (Clerk). As you use the platform, we collect data about your evaluation sessions, Elo ratings, skill assessments, and learning progress. We also automatically collect standard usage data such as IP addresses, browser type, device information, and interaction patterns through cookies and similar technologies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the Reeval platform, including powering AI evaluation sessions, calculating and updating your Elo skill ratings, personalizing your experience, and displaying your profile on public leaderboards (if you opt in). We may also use aggregated, anonymized data for research and to improve our assessment rubrics.

3. AI-Powered Evaluation

Our AI evaluator processes the content of your screen-share sessions to generate scores and rubric breakdowns. Session transcripts may be reviewed to improve model quality and assessment accuracy. We do not sell session content to third parties. AI-generated evaluations contribute to your Elo rating and skill breakdown, which are stored in your account.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We share your information with service providers who assist in operating the platform, including our authentication provider (Clerk), database provider (Convex), and AI model providers. If you participate in the public leaderboard, your display name, Elo rating, and tier are visible to other users and employers browsing the platform. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information and session history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, though anonymized and aggregated data may be retained indefinitely. Elo ratings and leaderboard entries are removed upon account deletion.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to maintain your authentication session and preferences. We may use analytics cookies to understand how users interact with the platform. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may prevent the platform from functioning correctly.

7. Your Rights

You may access, update, or delete your personal information through your account settings at any time. You may request a copy of your data or ask us to restrict processing by contacting us at privacy@reeval.io. If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication protocols, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
